Flight of Fancy

Flight of Fancy is one of those shots that you take from time to time with fingers and legs crossed and you just hope it works and there is no second chance. I took 4 shots in this sequence panning with the flight of the birds and I was very excited with the result. It was taken at Christies Beach, Adelaide, Australia, during a day of storms and very heavy sea.

Photo taken on 3 May 2007 with Nikon D50 DSLR with Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm Lens at a Focal Length of 145mm Exposure 1/640 (0.002s) Apeture F/6.3.

Prairie Falcon (Falco mexicanus)

This photo of a Prairie Falcon was taken at the Birds of Prey Display on Grouse Mountain, Vancouver, BC Canada on 2 August 2006. I like this shot because I felt I had captured it in a terrific 'pose' showing it's alertness and attitude. I also like it's muted tones against a grey background.

Photo taken on 2 August 2006 with Nikon D50 DSLR with Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm Lens at a Focal Length of 300mm Exposure 1/640 (0.002s) Apeture F/5.6.

Pull Up a Tree

I got the Lensbabies, as you can see. I've had it for a week and it hasn't left my camera, nor do I think it will anytime soon! You can check out more LB photos on my site.
