Time on My Hands

It has taken me all week to get a photo for this weeks challenge - I tried several ideas, but not happy or could not get the desired result. Come Sunday afternoon (in Aussie) this idea came to me. I must confess that I cheated - I got my wife to follow my directions (not easy) and take the shot. I then went to the puter and cropped it and played with the lighting. For a while there I thought I may not get a pic in this weeks Challenge. Possibly not the best ever but here I am with "Time on My Hands".

32 Water Towers

After the fire in the 30s, NYC required that all buildings over 5 stories have water towers. This was taken from the rooftop of my office building In Union Square looking East and North.

Vancouver Stitch

This is a 4 exposure stitch looking east from Stanley Park in Vancouver towards the bulk handling terminal and the cloud covered mountains. As with Larry (BTW Larry yours is a great shot) I am having trouble getting my Exposure (?) consistent leaving me with banding. Any ideas?

3-Exposure Panorama

This was my first attempt at shooting a series of images and stitching them together. The image has a numberof problems, but most important for this assignment are the dark bands in the sky. These are most apparent just to either side of center. These bands are caused by the camera adjusting exposure slightly from one exposure to the next. To prevent the problem in your photos, shoot panoramas using Manual exposure mode. This way you are assured of the identical exposure in each of the composit shots.

Challenge #32: Panorama
Ends: Sunday, Apr 15th 6:00 PM EST

This week's challenge involves a panoramic shot. By definition, this means your shot should be cropped such that one dimension is notably longer than the other. Have fun shooting!
